From Wikipedia:
Samuel Hui Koon-kit (born 6 September 1948), usually known as Sam Hui, is a Hong Kong Cantopop singer, lyricist and film actor. He is credited with popularizing Cantopop both with the infusion of Western-style music and using popular, street Cantonese jargon in his lyrics writing. Hui is considered by some to be the first major superstar of Cantopop.
A great number of pop bands appeared in Hong Kong during the golden era of the British Pop Music (1964 thru 1969). Musicians of different nationalities (Chinese, British, Swedish, Portuguese, Filipinos, Indians, among others) were active in Hong Kong, normally covering versions of songs from the UK and the USA. This is my tribute to those magnificent Hongkong Pop Artists that were part of my happy teenage days.

THE LORD`S PRAYER (Esther Chan)
From Singapore 60`s Andy`s Pop Music Influence:
One of the prettiest lady singers in Hong Kong in the mid 70s is Esther Chan. She is an exceptionally talented person with tight vocals, clear diction, a powerful but yet beautiful voice that is able to interpret a music version of, The Lord's Prayer. Comparatively, she's as handsome as Zoe Saldana, the on screen persona of Neytiri in Avatar, James Cameron's latest adventure into the unknown. Chen Yi De has been singing since the late 60s and according to a blog, she is still appearing in nightclubs in Hong Kong up to 2007. Coming from Guangdong in China, she was never interested in music as a youth but developed a love for it later in her life...
