A great number of pop bands appeared in Hong Kong during the golden era of the British Pop Music (1964 thru 1969). Musicians of different nationalities (Chinese, British, Swedish, Portuguese, Filipinos, Indians, among others) were active in Hong Kong, normally covering versions of songs from the UK and the USA. This is my tribute to those magnificent Hongkong Pop Artists that were part of my happy teenage days.

Joe Jr and myself, as lead guitar founded the band, Joe Jr & Side Effects when we were both in St. Joseph's College and we had a great time developing the band. We played at Hong Kong tea parties (as they called them) in the 60's and went on to make albums. It was a great time for all of us then. Alex

Merry Christmas

I was the girl who won the red paper heart with the autographs from all the band members at one of the concerts at the HK City Hall. I got it right after Joe finished singing Here's A Heart! I will never forget that night.
