From Mr Rainbow64(youtube):
D'Starlights, one of the most popular Filipino groups that started the invasion of our local pop scene during the 60s. The group was performing to full houses at the El Amigo Night Club along Kitchener Road. They introduced the "horns" and keyboards to the local music scene. Their popularity earned them a recording contract with EMI Singapore. Some of their recordings included For A Few Dollars More, Peanuts, Something On My Mind, I Believe, Mr. Lovin' Luggage Man, Massachusetts, Everything, Miss You, among others.
A great number of pop bands appeared in Hong Kong during the golden era of the British Pop Music (1964 thru 1969). Musicians of different nationalities (Chinese, British, Swedish, Portuguese, Filipinos, Indians, among others) were active in Hong Kong, normally covering versions of songs from the UK and the USA. This is my tribute to those magnificent Hongkong Pop Artists that were part of my happy teenage days.
